To all my fellow Canadians:
HAPPY CANADA DAY!
Yes, I know it’s been awhile since the last issue of The Jedi Gambit, but I can assure you I’ve got loads of new content and upcoming surprises that I am sure will make up for having to wait in-between Jedi Gambit issues! 😉
Today’s latest issue brings you further clues into the storyline I am unfolding:
Now that the excitement from E3 has died down and people are now awaiting to hear new information about SWTOR (*cough cough* RELEASE DATE! *cough cough*), Bioware/EA has not relented and has continued to provide us with some nice tidbits.
First off, we’ve got the latest Facebook image of the week. Loving the Hutt complete with gold-bikini clad Twilek!
Also we’ve got confirmation from Frank Gibeau that each class in SWTOR will comprise of around 200 hours of gameplay. That is both mind-blowing and encouraging when you consider most new MMOs can hardly keep people entertained for 40 hours. DCUO? Yeah I’m talking about you guys!
And just this morning, Bioware released the very cool and burninating Bounty Hunter progression video!
One bit of info that has got me thinking was seeing the latest design of speederbikes (aka mounts) in all the E3 developer footage. In the one set of footage of Tatooine, Daniel Erickson mentioned that the mounts had to be redesigned from the iconic speederbike style we know from Return of the Jedi to a more upright design, stating that the former design caused too much traffic clutter on the screen when in cities. I can understand they’re reasoning without a doubt, but why not just limit speederbike use to outside of the cities? Maybe the cities are just too durned big?
Personally I’m not a real fan of the latest design. To me, they look more like elderly walkers with jets or hovering segways than speederbikes. Especially when you can see the various styles and models of speederbikes Wookiepedia has got listed! Maybe there will be unlockable speederbike styles once you reach a certain level or achievement? I guess we won’t know until the game releases.
Well if we are stuck with those Star Wars Segway designs, then maybe will start a trend of Synchronized Star Wars Segway shows?
